Under Bourke’s Tenure RPCK Has Built Out a Thriving Fund Formation Practice Recognized by the Industry for its Groundbreaking Work in Impact Investing
New York, NY — June 1, 2023 — RPCK Rastegar Panchal LLP (RPCK), an international law firm focused on providing highly-tailored and innovative solutions to leading impact investors, entrepreneurs and growth enterprises around the world, announced today that Aaron Bourke, Head of RPCK’s Fund Formation practice, has been named Partner.
Mr. Bourke is widely recognized for his deep and diverse experience in impact investing, particularly with respect to social impact fund formation. Since joining RPCK, Mr. Bourke has built a thriving fund formation practice, expanding the firm’s fund formation capabilities for clients, and has brought on established funds in the impact investing sector to the firm’s client roster. Additionally, Mr. Bourke’s thought leadership around innovative impact carry structures has garnered broad industry attention and recognition, contributing (along with the work of Denver Office lead Tom Scriven) to RPCK being named as a finalist for the 2023 Grunin Prize for Law and Social Entrepreneurship.
Mr. Bourke joined the firm in March 2022 as Senior Counsel, from Reed Smith LLP (Reed Smith), where he served as a Counsel on the Private Fund Formation team and Co-Founder of Reed Smith’s Social Impact Finance Group, playing a significant role in building one of the leading impact practices at an Am Law firm. He is also a co-founder of the Impact Investing Legal Working Group (IILWG), a professional network of lawyers who work in the field of impact investing for a diverse array of organizations, including impact investors, social enterprises, law firms, nonprofit organizations, foundations, and academic institutions.
RPCK advises many of the leading impact investors on ground-breaking, multiple-bottom line transactions around the world and has advised pioneering family offices and fund managers on a wide variety of novel, innovative and catalytic capital structures. RPCK also regularly counsels visionary social entrepreneurs on creative ways to achieve impact through commercial success.

Mr. Bourke’s prior experiences also include initiating and developing Reed Smith’s partnerships with the International Transactions Clinics at New York University School of Law and the University of Michigan Law School, through which Reed Smith attorneys have supervised law students representing impact investors and social enterprises on a broad array of transactions. Mr. Bourke is also a co-founding member of the Law and Social Entrepreneurship Association at New York University School of Law.
Additional experiences include serving as Chair of the New York Regional Board of Indego Africa, a non-profit enterprise that provides artisan women in Rwanda and Ghana with a global market for their handmade products and invests in their education; working for People’s Watch, a human rights organization in Tamil Nadu, India, as a New York University School of Law Center for Human Rights and Global Justice Fellow; and serving as an international development volunteer for the Foundation for Sustainable Development in Rajasthan, India.
Mr. Bourke holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.A. from The College of William & Mary. He holds a bar admission in New York.
