accent, Lower Austria’s technology start-up incubator, closed a cooperation agreement with CERN forming the Austrian Business Incubation Center (BIC). Austrian ventures can now access the know-how of the world’s largest research center.
RPCK represented accent. The firm has been advising accent for years, as well as incubated companies from business formation, growth capital and financings to successful exits.
CERN has entered into similar agreements in the UK, the Netherlands, and Norway since 2012. accent will access key technologies such as big data, data analysis, cryo engineering as well as magnet and material research.
“The chance to draw on CERN technology is an amazing opportunity for our startups. We achieved this owing to the excellent working relationship between CERN, the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber in Bern, the Federal Ministry for Science, Research and Economy and the State of Lower Austria,” accent CEO Michael Moll confirmed.
