Of Counsel
Gabriel Gorayeb de Almeida is a Dutch-qualified lawyer with extensive experience advising on fund formation, private equity, and impact investment transactions. He currently serves as Senior Counsel at Triple Jump, where he leads transactional legal support for the Dutch Good Growth Fund, ASN Microcredit Fund, and the Energy Entrepreneurs Growth Fund, with a focus on fund investments, private equity in financial institutions, and cleantech and venture capital transactions. Gabriel is also a co-founder and board member of the Legal Innovation for Sustainable Investments (LISI) Foundation, a platform advancing innovative legal practices to accelerate sustainable finance.
Previously, Gabriel was Legal Officer at FMO, the Dutch entrepreneurial development bank, where he advised across FMO’s EUR 3 billion private equity portfolio (covering direct investments, co-investments, and alternative investment funds). His work also supported the treasury department on funding and hedging transactions exceeding EUR 7 billion, as well as FMO’s Partnerships for Impact, managing over EUR 1 billion in public funds. In this role, he was actively engaged in fund governance and policy matters, including FMO’s Investment Fund Benchmark Matrix, Derivatives, and Brexit working groups. His earlier experience includes legal roles with Booking.com, Bentley Systems, and Greenberg Traurig.
Gabriel holds an LL.M. in International and European Law (European Competition Law and Regulation) from the University of Amsterdam and an LL.B. with Honours in English Law from the University of Dundee. He has further completed executive programs in private equity at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and entrepreneurial finance at the Amsterdam Institute of Finance. In addition, he holds professional certifications from the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA), including the ILPA Institute: Legal Documents – Intensive and ILPA Institute: Theory and Concepts of Private Equity Comprehensive. Alongside his practice, he serves as a guest lecturer at the University of Sydney Law School, teaching on international financial transactions, asset management, private equity, and banking law.
