Social entrepreneurs as well as financial and legal experts discussed ecological, economic and social challenges, and the new Social Entrepreneurship Fund.
Austria’s first Social Entrepreneurship Fund, endowed with EUR 5 million and managed by fair-finance, was presented. The team around Keyvan Rastegar advises fair-finance comprehensively on the establishment of the fund.
Over the next three years, a total of at least EUR 5 million is to be made available for young companies with a social impact focus. According to Markus Zeilinger, CEO of fair-finance, the volume could rise to a maximum of EUR 20 million.
The SEF19 was rounded off by statements by Dr. Keyvan Rastegar and Mag.a. Eva Miklautz (BMASK), who referred in their remarks to the necessary political and legal framework conditions.
