Bagot will Head RPCK’s Washington-DC Regional Practice and Lead the Firm’s DFI Focus

Washington, D.C. — October 11, 2022—RPCK Rastegar Panchal LLP (RPCK), an international law firm focused on providing highly-tailored and innovative solutions to leading impact investors, entrepreneurs and growth enterprises around the world, announced today it has hired Stephanie Bagot as Senior Counsel. Ms. Bagot joins RPCK after serving as Deputy Associate General Counsel for Equity and Investment Funds at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (“DFC”), where her practice focused on direct equity investments and private funds in emerging markets. Ms. Bagot is based in Washington, D.C. and will lead the firm’s practice in this region. She reports to and will work closely with Founding Partner Chintan Panchal and Senior Partner Joshua Teitelbaum.

In her role as Senior Counsel at RPCK, Ms. Bagot’s practice will focus on impact-focused international corporate transactions, private equity, venture capital and investment funds, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and corporate advisory work. Ms. Bagot will also spearhead the firm’s growing development financial institutions (DFIs)-focused practice, which involves both representing DFIs on their direct and fund investments, as well as representing fund managers on navigating the unique aspects working with DFIs as LP investors.

Prior to DFC, Ms. Bagot was a Senior Attorney at FINCA Impact Finance, a global microfinance organization with subsidiaries in Latin America, Africa, Eurasia, the Middle East and South Asia. She was the lead attorney for equity/cross-border mergers & acquisitions in the network, and she also advised on general corporate matters and corporate governance. Ms. Bagot was a Senior Associate in the Business section at Holland & Knight before joining FINCA Impact Finance, where she worked across a variety of business lines, including the international private wealth, tax-exempt organizations, international cross-border transactions and mergers & acquisitions groups.

Ms. Bagot is a seasoned practitioner with significant law firm and in-house experience managing and leading legal projects and teams across the world. She held multiple leadership roles in the legal department at DFC. At FINCA Impact Finance, she managed and trained legal teams in the network subsidiaries. She graduated from the ACC Leadership Academy (Class of 2021), which also gave her a deeper expertise in leading teams and projects. She also served as board member of FINCA Jordan, a microfinance entity part of the FINCA Impact Finance network, and as vice president and board member of the French American Chamber of Commerce of Washington, DC and as co-chair of its International Business Committee.

Ms. Bagot received her law degree from the University of Paris-X, an LL.M. in International Legal Studies from American University’s Washington College of Law and a Master’s in International Affairs from Georgetown University. She is admitted to practice law in New York and the District of Columbia. Ms. Bagot also passed the French bar examination under Article 100. She is a bilingual English and French speaker and has good working knowledge of Spanish.
