Experience

Some business disputes are unavoidable; others can be strategically advantageous if handled properly.

Our approach to dispute avoidance begins with identifying potential areas of risk within our clients’ business operations, and enacting policies, procedures, contracts and/or insurance to protect against such risks. Where management determines that it is strategically advantageous to take risks, we can help ensure that risks are fully understood and contained. When disputes do arise, we can advise on taking defensive measures within the company, developing a strategic litigation plan with senior management, and managing the process effectively. We routinely advise clients in the following areas of conflict resolution.

Representative transactions include:

  • Representation of a managing member and investor in +€4.5mm tax liability proceeding and over a dozen related civil, commercial, tax, and bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Representation of a legacy domain group, including the litigation and dispute resolution with one of its financiers.
